  • This class is intended for first-year public health students with basic searching skills.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary to navigate the library’s website and databases.

Learning objectives:

  1. Identify public health resources available at the Health Sciences Library and recognize their variable functionalities.
  2. Search for information using the basic and advanced search functions of PubMed and Global Health CABI using keywords, Boolean search operators, subject headings, and controlled vocabulary.
  3. Learn how to connect databases to the Health Sciences Library to quickly locate full-text.
